ELECTRONIC SECURITY

Intercom Systems

Overview

Intercom systems enable businesses with busy reception areas or secure access points to efficiently communicate with visitors before granting them access, ensuring both convenience and security. Visitors press a call button at the entrance door to initiate communication with an operator via the intercom system. After verifying the visitor's identity - through audio or both audio and video - the operator can remotely release the door to grant access. For added convenience and efficiency, intercom call points can be equipped with integrated access control readers. These allow tenants or authorised personnel to enter using a key fob, access card or smart phone, eliminating the need for operator assistance while ensuring secure entry. Calls can be diverted out-of-hours to remote operators allowing access to areas such as sports and social clubs, car parks, and offices for cleaners and contractors.
