Overview
Our manned guarding services are a highly effective way of securing customer sites, and is one of Vigilant Security Services' strengths in the security industry. At Vigilant, manned security goes beyond static or patrol-based security at client premises. We also prioritise securing the surrounding areas for comprehensive protection. Our uniformed officers provide crucial protection in retail security, carrying out surveillance duties in shops and shopping centres, protecting staff, customers and stock. As door supervisors they maintain safety and security at venues like pubs, clubs and events, managing access, checking IDs, handling conflict and responding to emergencies. All Vigilant personnel are security screened to BS7858, DBS checked and SIA approved. Before being deployed to customer sites, our officers must undergo thorough training to ensure that they deliver our high standards of service, in line with SIA standards and in accordance with NSI Gold codes of practice. In addition, they receive First Aid training and any other site-specific training required by our customers.

Yes. Every Vigilant security officer undergoes a full five-year screening process to BS7858 before commencing operational duties, so you receive thoroughly vetted, reliable personnel.
Can you cover short-notice or emergency guarding requirements?
Yes. We keep an experienced team of reserve officers on hand specifically to provide emergency cover and to support new contracts where stability and experience are essential from day one.
What is the difference between static and mobile security?
Static security places a dedicated officer at a fixed location to control access and deter threats on site, while mobile patrols cover one or more sites at scheduled or random intervals. Many clients combine both for full coverage.
Do your guards have customer service training?
